We will explore the process and safety of fermentation for making salsas and hot sauces using produce fresh from your garden or the local farmers market. This class teaches two simple ways to start your fermentation journey with infinite variations. This is a beginner fermenting class for anyone who wants to start to unlock this way to create delicious and probiotic foods. Make the most of your garden produce and the bounty of local farms.

Learn about equipment and practices to make safe ferments. Confidently enjoy your own foods that you ferment at home. You will taste, make, and take home some fermented goodies!

We will be learning lactofermentation methods using simple jar set ups, and vacuum sealed processes. You may have everything you need already at home! Course is Wednesday August 12th from 6:30 until 8pm. $60 It includes a comprehensive notebook including recipes and processes to take home, participation in a fermenting project, as well as a jar of hot sauce to take home. We will taste some delicious salsas and fermented sauces. All skill levels are welcome. There are only 12 spots available.
